Padres without closer in elimination game as Mason Miller goes on paternity list - USA Today

Walker Buehler Returns to Padres Roster for NLDS Clash

The San Diego Padres reinstated pitcher Walker Buehler off the paternity list ahead of NLDS Game 3 against the Milwaukee Brewers, bringing him onto their active roster. His return takes up a roster slot created by a separate paternity list move.

Closer Mason Miller was added to the paternity list before the game, leaving San Diego without its top bullpen arm in an elimination matchup. Buehler steps into a Padres bullpen that now has to get by without Miller, who had been their go-to closer heading into the series.
