A sudden cold front brought the initial yearly snowfall to Montana this October. Safety alerts and notices remained in effect while the system impacted the region. The ice led to crashes and delayed travelers. Skiers found early-season powder after the storm and shared clips of the conditions online. A local pet showed strangely to the white flakes. Clear skies came to the area as temperatures gradually warmed. This occurrence signals the beginning of cold season for the state.
